Frequently asked questions
What is a peptide?
A short chain of amino acids linked by peptide bonds. Chains of up to roughly 50 amino acids are usually called peptides; longer chains are proteins.
What is the difference between a peptide and a protein?
Mainly size: peptides are short chains of amino acids, proteins are long chains that fold into complex structures.
How should research peptides be stored?
Lyophilised vials at −20 °C, dry and away from light; after reconstitution at 2–8 °C. Our storage guide explains the details.
Is every product tested?
Yes. Every batch is tested by HPLC for ≥99% purity and by mass spectrometry for identity; the Certificate of Analysis is published online on the product page and in our COA library.
